M. D. was born in Montreal, Quebec but was raised in a small Quebec town in the Laurentian mountains called Mont-Laurier. She studied and lived in Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax, having obtained a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. Throughout the years, she has worked as a housekeeper, a telephone operator, a military officer, and a Human Resources consultant. But writing always was her first love and she gave up her paying job over twenty years ago to make up stories. She has been writing full-time since then.
Metered Space was her first published novel (2004), introducing Private Investigator Jack Meter in the SF Mystery series The Jack Meter Case Files, which continued with Meter Made in 2005, Meter Destiny in 2008, and Meter Parents in 2011.
She also has two published SF Thrillers, Synergy (2007) and Catalyst (2010).
An Urban Fantasy, Sorcerer’s Heir (Book One of the Kingdom of Illusions) is currently M. D.’s first foray into urban fantasy.
She is married and lives in Ottawa, Canada.
