Sarah Tolmie

Tolmie author photoSarah Tolmie is a speculative fiction author and poet. Her publications include the sonnet sequence Trio (McGill-Queens UP, 2015) and the Baseline Press chapbook Sonnet in a Blue Dress and Other Poems (2104). A new collection, The Art of Dying, is nearly complete — a poem from it, on Oliver Sacks, is in The New Quarterly issue 136. She has published the alternate-Renaissance novel The Stone Boatmen and the short fiction collection NoFood, both with Aqueduct Press, in 2014.

Her newest book, Two Travelers, a novella and a short story inspired by Isak Dinesen’s Seven Gothic Tales, will be out with Aqueduct in spring 2016. Her main project currently is a speculative historical fiction novel about Antoni Van Leeuwenhoek, the 17th-century microscopist.
