Carolyn Clink won the 2011 Aurora Award for Best Poem/Song for “The ABCs of the
End of the World.” She finds humour in everything.
Her speculative poetry has appeared in the Canadian anthologies Northern Frights (all
five volumes) and Tesseracts (volumes 4 and 7). Genre poems have also appeared in
Analog, Weird Tales, Imaginarium 2012: the Best Canadian Speculative Writing, On-
Spec, TransVersions, Star*Line, Tales of the Unanticipated, and Gaslight. She also
writes mundane poetry that has appeared in Gusts: Contemporary Tanka, Room, White
Wall Review, Hart House Review, and The Dalhousie Review.
She is a member of the Science Fiction Poetry Association and the Algonquin Square
Table poetry workshop.
Carolyn is poetry co-editor, with her brother David Clink, for Amazing Stories Magazine.
Previously, she was poetry co-editor with Colleen Anderson for the Chiaroscuro
webzine. And she also co-edited Tesseracts 6 with her husband, Robert J. Sawyer.
She has been poetry Guest-of-Honour / Featured Poet at a bunch of science-fiction
conventions including: HawaiiCon 2019 in Kailua, HI, Minicon 38 in Minneapolis, MN,
and Context XII in Columbus, OH.
