Allan Weiss

Allan Weiss is a Toronto fiction writer and Professor of English and Humanities at York University. His fantasy story collection Making the Rounds (Edge) appeared in 2016; he has also published genre stories in anthologies like volumes of the Tesseracts series and Other Covenants: Alternate Histories of the Jewish People, and in On Spec and other magazines. Non-genre publications include the story collections Living Room (Boheme 2001) and Telescope (Guernica Editions 2019) and stories in various periodicals and anthologies. Among his scholarly publications are articles on various topics in Canadian science fiction and fantasy in such journals as Science-Fiction Studies and the Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts. He is Chair of the biennial Academic Conference on Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy (ACCSFF), and has edited three volumes of proceedings from the conference, including The Canadian Fantastic in Focus (McFarland 2014).
