Lisa Timpf

Lisa 1a resizedLisa Timpf is a retired HR and communications professional who lives in Simcoe, Ontario.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Timpf received a Bachelor of Physical Education from McMaster University, and completed course work toward a Master’s degree in Sport History at Dalhousie University.

Throughout her life, Timpf has enjoyed the company of a variety of pets, including several dogs and one cat. Their antics have provided inspiration for both non-fiction and fiction works.

Timpf’s hobbies include organic gardening, bird-watching, and bicycling. Her interests are reflected in her science fiction poetry and short stories, which often deal with themes related to nature (including climate change), sports, and Acadian culture and folklore.

Timpf’s writing has appeared in a variety of venues, including Polar Borealis, New Myths, Star*Line, Eye to the Telescope, Thema, and Third Flatiron.
