RideTheMoonRide the Moon, the new anthology by Alberta's new micro publisher, Tyche Books, is now available and feature stories by several SFCanada members.

SFC members with stories in the anthology include: Krista D. Ball, “On the Labrador Shore, She Waits”; Ada Hoffmann, “Moon Laws, Dream Laws”; Rebecca M. Senese, “Moon Dream”; Shereen Vedam “Aloha Moon”; and Edward Willett, “Je Me Souviens”.

From the Tyche Books website:

"For thousands of years, the Moon has inspired stories and legends about heroic animals, violent deities, and criminal humans. In modern times, those tales have been overshadowed by vampires and werewolves. It’s time for the Moon and her denizens to take back the night.

Follow us down a twisting path of fantasy and science fiction and rediscover the magic of the Moon. From Mermaids that collect souls to lunar colonies on the brink of disaster, inside these pages you will find out which lunar gods still walk among us and what new breed of monster you should be fearful of.

Ride the Moon contains 19 speculative fiction tales that showcase the breadth of writing styles from around the globe."

kindredblood_200x300The third novel in Dawné Dominique's The First vampire series released in November, but has finally made its way to Canada and to a successful book signing at Chapters Polo Park. This is a different vampire series, and certainly not Twilight. Biblical fact and fiction crash headlong in this saga.

Barnes & Noble, Amazon, etc.

Review Manic Readers:

... Kindred Blood, III: The First is tense and emotional. The First series moves from strength to strength. There are no “slow moments,” simply too much is going on, in some form or fashion, throughout the book. New and exciting characters are introduced and we learn more about Daniella’s past and origins. Revenge, retribution, a little humbling, our lovers pushed to their limits and beyond, rousing action, secrets revealed, and questions answered even while revelations raise new ones. ...
